Prophets won't let you improve their texts/words?

Scientific Humanism believes in your family's genius so much that we encourage you to help us improve our belief system! Email us your ideas at info@scientifichumanism.org. Most prophets (Bible/Qur'an, etc.) don't allow you to improve on the texts of their belief system, however. We didn't bring those parts of those belief systems forward, since we believe in you too much. We do bring forward "love your neighbor", however - and we've even improved on that. You're not a "sinner".....you're incredible!

Love your children so much that you believe that they deserve an ever-improving belief system. They deserve a flexible belief system! A static belief system stifles their incredible creativity - but Scientific Humanism brings out their creativity.

We believe that "life is change". The world is growing/improving at a faster rate than ever before, so let's grow/improve our belief system, as well!

Bible (God/Jesus):
1.    Revelation 22:18-19 says, "For I testify unto everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, and from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
Not spoken directly by Jesus, but “Jesus Himself is the Author of Revelation”
2.    “As we have already seen in Galatians 1:6-9, if we pervert the gospel by changing it, we will be accursed.”
3. “….do not add anything to it or take anything away from it” -  Deuteronomy 12:32
4.    Moses gave a similar warning in Deuteronomy 4:1-2, where he cautioned the Israelites that they must listen to and obey the commandments of the Lord, neither adding to nor taking away from His revealed Word.
5.    Proverbs 30:5-6 contains a similar admonition to anyone who would add to God’s words: he will be rebuked and proven to be a liar.
6.    As our Lord warns us in Matthew 15:14, "And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a ditch." Don't allow someone, who has added to and taken away from God's word, to lead you. [ http://www.bible.ca/interactive/salvation-21-must-follow-bible-exactly.htm ]

Question: "Does the warning in Revelation 22:18-19 apply to the entire Bible or just the Book of Revelation?"
Answer:
Revelation 22:18-19 contains a warning to anyone who tampers with the biblical text: “For I testify together to everyone who hears the Words of the prophecy of this Book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add on him the plagues that have been written in this Book. And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book.” The question is whether these verses refer to the whole Bible or just the Book of Revelation.

This warning is given specifically to those who distort the message of the Book of Revelation.
Jesus Himself is the author of Revelation and the giver of the vision to the apostle John (Revelation 1:1). As such, He concludes the book with a confirmation of His testimony to the finality of the prophecies contained in Revelation. These are His words, and He warns against distorting them in any way, whether through additions, subtractions, falsifications, alterations, or intentional misinterpretations. The warning is explicit and dire. The plagues of Revelation will be visited upon anyone guilty of tampering in any way with the revelations in the book, and those who dare to do so will have no part in eternal life in heaven.

Although the warning in
Revelation 22:18-19 is specific to the Book of Revelation, the principle applies to anyone who seeks to intentionally distort God's Word. Moses gave a similar warning in Deuteronomy 4:1-2, where he cautioned the Israelites that they must listen to and obey the commandments of the Lord, neither adding to nor taking away from His revealed Word. Proverbs 30:5-6 contains a similar admonition to anyone who would add to God’s words: he will be rebuked and proven to be a liar. Although the warning in Revelation 22:18-19 applies specifically to the Book of Revelation, its principle must be applied to the entire revealed Word of God. We must be careful to handle the Bible with care and reverence so as to not distort its message.  [ http://www.gotquestions.org/Revelation-22-18-19.html ]

ISLAM:
1. The Qur'an is "perfect": Chapter 5, Verse 3 says "This day I have perfected for you your religion." It's also for all time.
2.  "We have without doubt, send down the message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)." Qur'an 15:9.
3. Qur’an 6:115
4. Qur’an 18:27

Imam Al Tabari in his commentary states:"None can change His words", He is saying that there is no one who could change what He has informed in His books about anything which is bound to happen during it's time or has been postponed. It all happens as Allah says it would. (Ibn Jarir al-Tabari, Jami' al-bayan fi ta'wil al-Qur'an, Commentary on Surah 6:115,)http://www.answering-islam.org/authors/shamoun/rebuttals/zawadi/gods_words_unchangable.html
