You are not bad (“sinner”, and “evil” or “wicked”) like Jesus said you are.

Unless you're in prison, don't consider yourself a "sinner".

Scientific Humanism says that you are a winner, and not a sinner. You are incredible! You and your family have unlimited potential. Believe in yourself enough to not let negativity or fear hold you back.
The Bible repeatedly says that you are a “sinner” - for something very unscientific that happened thousands of years ago that you had no say in whatsoever. Similarly, in Matthew 7:11 (the verse right before he mentions the Golden Rule, which we love), Jesus allegedly said that you are also “evil” or “wicked”. Let's embrace a more positive and loving way - the world will be better when we do!

The Bible:
GOD'S WORD® Translation
Even though you're evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him?
Darby Bible Translation
If therefore ye, being wicked, know [how] to give good gifts to your children, how much rather shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to them that ask of him?
Berean Literal Bible
Therefore, if you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in the heavens give good things to those asking Him!

The Sikh religion:
The Sikh texts teach that you are “unworthy”. We believe that you are worthy!

Islam:
In the Islamic texts, your family is arguably considered sinful and blameworthy (but there was no “original sin”.) We’re ok with whatever Muslims choose to believe.

For man's very soul incites him to evil unless my Lord shows mercy. — Qur'an, sura 12, ayat 53

“If Allah were to punish men for their wrong-doing, He would not leave, on the (earth), a single living creature
- Qur’an 16:61.

Allah's apostle said, "Every son of Adam sins, the best of the sinners are those who repent."
-
Sunan al-Tirmidhi,Hadith no. 2499

I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done; I acknowledge Your favors upon me and I recognize my sins, so forgive my sins; verily, none can forgive sins but You.
- Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Book of Supplications, Number 3393, Hasan

Allah's apostle said," By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them."

Believe in yourself as much as we believe in you!
